November 8, 2005 / Press Release / -- The November scheduled launch of
Perfect Home Living’s monthly newsletter will be delayed until December
2005. Perfect Home Living during the month of November will be
aggressively working to assist Utah’s Real Estate Mortgage Fraud (RMF)
Task Force in drafting language for Utah’s proposed mortgage fraud bill
as well as coordinating the first of many town hall style meetings with
residence of West Valley City.
Incumbent West Valley City Mayor Dennis Nordfelt in a testament to keeping the city proactive
against mortgage and real estate fraud will coordinate scheduled town
hall style meetings with Perfect Home Living and various other team
members of the RMF Task Force. Within the coming weeks, Perfect Home
Living will put together a calendar of events outlying specific times
and locations for the commencement of West Valley’s town hall meetings.
On Wednesday, November
9, Perfect Home Living will be on Capitol Hill in support of Utah State
Representative Paul Ray (R) Clinton, latest announcement concerning
Utah’s first legislative step in bringing to life Utah’s version of a
Residential Mortgage Fraud Act.
Perfect Home Living’s
role will be critical in providing insight to money laundering risks in
real estate closings and settlements. An area often regarded to as the
last real loophole for committing financial crimes involving real
estate. “The real estate industry has taken steps to identify potential
money laundering vulnerabilities, but nothing will address these issues
as concretely as Utah’s mortgage fraud bill,” said Sheri Fitzpatrick,
CEO of Perfect Home Living.
“Participants in real
estate transactions are broad, however with the introduction of this new
legislature, Utah’s licensed real estate entities participating in
mortgage and real estate fraud will be punished to the fullest extent of
the law,” Sheri added.
