Salt Lake City, UT
/ June 5, 2007 / Press Release / -- Steve Ketter, the number one
private investigator formerly with Ketter, Cantil and Kane, was named
yesterday as the new Director of Investigations for Perfect Home Living,
the largest non-profit combating real estate and mortgage fraud in the
U.S.
The move ends
months of speculation within the financial and housing industry as to
who would step into the role at Perfect Home Living. Mr. Ketter is
a 39- year-old native of Maryland and currently a principle of The
Investigative Group, has an extensive career that spans over
nineteen years in criminal investigations and will take over the newly
created position June 1.
Amid continuous media
coverage concerning the fall of the sub-prime lending market, a barrage
of financial institutions have sought to work with Perfect Home Living
as a proactive measure to reduce investor risk from high-risk loans.
The appointment of
Mr. Ketter means that for the first time Perfect Home Living will draw
from outside the non-profit sector since its inception two years ago.
Preston Cochrane, Chairman of the Board, believes Perfect Home Living
needed the expertise and experience of Mr. Ketter to keep pace with
escalating corruption within the housing market.
Mr. Ketter, who has
handled thousands of cases in over 40 states across the U.S. and was
formerly on a two year appointment with the Advisory Board for the
Office of Law Enforcement Technology and Commercialization (OLETC), said
it was an honor to lead Perfect Home Living as its Director of
Investigations and as an Executive Board Member.
"I know Perfect Home
Living as one of the nation's foremost addresses and as the non-profit
most sought after for its work with law enforcement, investigators of
financial lending institutions and its educating of consumers to
loopholes that allow real estate fraud to continue. With such
strong ties and dedication to excellence, our coming together is
certainly a perfect fit," said Mr. Ketter.
The announcement of
Mr. Ketter's appointment thus far has been well received by the market.
"The timing of this announcement could not have come at a better time,"
says Sheri Fitzpatrick, Founder and CEO of Perfect Home Living.
"From his efforts in
handling protective work during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the last
10 Sundance Film Festivals, his past presidency of the Private
Investigator's Association of Utah, to continued fraud investigations,
we felt Mr. Ketter had all of the qualities and experience necessary to
become our Director of Investigations," Fitzpatrick added.
